Online Desk: US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the Gaza issue. They held talks in Jeddah on Wednesday (March 20). Saudi state television reported that Mohammed bin Salman and Blinken discussed the current situation, including the end of Israel's military operations in Gaza. Security and humanitarian situation in the region were also discussed between the two.
Blinken is currently on a tour of the Middle East. The US top diplomat said that efforts to implement a ceasefire in Gaza are continuing. In an interview in Jeddah, he said the distance between the two sides was narrowing and a ceasefire agreement was possible. He will travel to Egypt on Thursday to hold talks with other Arab leaders. He is scheduled to visit Israel the following day. Occupying forces have been attacking Gaza since October 7. As of Wednesday (March 20), the death toll has risen to 31,923. 74 thousand 96 people were injured.
