A coordination meeting was held to resolve law and order and traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Tangail highway during Eid

Tangail Representative: On the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, a coordination meeting has been held to resolve law and order and traffic congestion on the Dhaka-Tangail highway. The meeting was held at Police Lines Multipurpose Shed on Wednesday, March 20 at 12 noon organized by Tangail District Police. In the meeting, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr-2024, the District Roads and Public Roads Department to maintain normal traffic on the Dhaka-Tangail highway and regional roads.

Traffic and Security Manager, BBA, Bangabandhu Bridge, Tangail Fire Service and Civil Defence, Security Manager, WD (1), representatives of various organizations engaged in the work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge Construction Project, Highway Four Lane Upgradation Project and Bus-Minibus-Truck Owners Various discussions were held in the coordination meeting with the representatives of the labor union and CNG-auto labor union to resolve the traffic jam.

The meeting was presided over by Sarkar Mohammad Qaiser BPM, Superintendent of Police Tangail (promoted to the post of Additional DIG). In the meeting, the Superintendent of Police gave necessary directions to control law and order along with decongesting the highway area to keep the traffic flow normal on the highways and regional roads of the district on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) Sharfuddin, Roads and Highways Executive Engineer Cynthia Khan, District Police Senior Officers, Officers-in-Charge of all Police Stations (OCs), Transport Owners and Trade Union Leaders, Fire Service, Roads and Highways, BBA authorities, Municipal representatives and public representatives at various levels including print and Electronic media journalists were present. In the meeting, various initiatives were discussed for smooth movement of public transport and passengers on Dhaka-Tangail highway before and after Eid.
