German Ambassador Rüdiger Lotz Concludes Cox’s Bazar Visit with Key Meeting on Rohingya Response

Diplomatic Correspondent: German Ambassador Rüdiger Lotz concluded his official visit to Cox’s Bazar with a high-level meeting at the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), reaffirming Germany’s continued commitment to humanitarian efforts supporting the Rohingya population.

During the meeting, the Ambassador held an in-depth discussion with Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Additional Secretary and RRRC, focusing on key aspects of the ongoing Rohingya response. The conversation covered critical areas including camp security, access to education, and the sustainability of food supply systems for displaced communities.

The visit underscored the importance of coordinated international and national efforts in addressing the Rohingya crisis. Ambassador Lotz praised Bangladesh’s continued leadership and resilience in hosting the displaced population.

Germany reiterated its firm commitment to humanitarian engagement and emphasized the value of its strong partnership with Bangladesh in responding to the crisis.
