‎Canada Reaffirms Humanitarian Commitment in Talks with IFRC Delegation on Bangladesh Rohingya Crisis

Diplomatic Correspondent: A constructive exchange was held with a visiting delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), including Ms. Hanne Mathisen and Ms. Helen Brunt, together with IFRC Head of Delegation in Bangladesh Alberto Bocanegra Vidal and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society’s Areefa Sinha.

‎The discussions focused on evolving humanitarian priorities in Bangladesh, with particular emphasis on the urgent need to identify durable solutions to the Rohingya crisis. Broader issues of displacement and migration were also highlighted, reflecting the continuing humanitarian challenges faced by vulnerable communities in the region.
