News Desk:  The United States has expressed concern over the violence in the country's ongoing quota reform movement. The country also said it is monitoring the quota reform movement. Spokesperson Matthew Miller gave this information at the US State Department's regular press briefing on Monday (July 15).

In response to a question about the quota reform movement, US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said, "We are aware of reports of hundreds of injuries in massive student protests in Dhaka and Bangladesh." We are monitoring the matter.

He said freedom of expression and peaceful assembly are essential components of any developing democracy. We condemn any violence against peaceful protesters. Our sympathies go out to the victims of this violence.

Miller said, 'So far two people have been killed in the protests and hundreds of protesters have been injured in the attacks. However, he did not say anything in detail about the two people killed in the movement.

It should be noted that the students have been protesting for a few days demanding reform of job quota. However, BCL attacked the protestors on Monday.
