RAB arrested 3 with 15 kg of ganja in Bogra

Bogra representative: RAB arrested the truck driver and his two accomplices with 15 and a half kg of ganja in Bogra headquarters. They were arrested from Baghopara on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway of the upazila around 8:30 am on Thursday. At the same time, the truck used to transport ganja was also seized.

The arrested are Majidul Islam (33), a truck driver of Kaliganj in Lalmonirhat district, his two assistants Mamun Mia (39) and Azizul Haque (23) of the same village.

RAB-12 Bogra Company Commander (SP) Mir Monir Hossain said that 15 and a half kg of ganja was being taken from Rangpur to Pabna by truck. On receiving information, a check post was set up at Baghopara on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway and a search was conducted. At one stage, three sacks of ganja hidden under the driver's seat were found in that truck. They have been handed over to Sadar Police Station this afternoon for taking legal action against them.
