Extortion arrested by stopping the truck on the highway in Bogra 3

Bogra Correspondent: RAB has arrested three people while collecting toll from goods trucks in Shajahanpur, Bogra. RAB-12 Bogra confirmed this information in a press release on Thursday afternoon.

Earlier, they were arrested from Sajapur on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway of the upazila at around 8 pm on Wednesday. At this time, a receipt of collection of subscription was also seized from the arrested.

The arrested are Saiful Islam (47) of Shajahanpur upazila, Md. Ripon (26) and Mahidul Islam (29) of Dupchanchia upazila.

RAB-12 Bogra Company Commander (SP) Mir Monir Hossain said that the raid was conducted after receiving information that a cargo truck was intercepted at Shajapur on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway and extortion was being carried out. At this time, three people were arrested with the receipt of collection. They have been handed over to the Shajahanpur police station on Thursday morning to take legal action against them.
