Aminur was brutally murdered by drunken thieves

Khulna Representative: Laborer Md. Aminur Sheikh (44) was brutally murdered by drunken thieves at Batiaghata in Khulna. Police have arrested the persons responsible in this incident. Khulna District Police Superintendent Md Saidur Rahman gave this information in a press conference on Thursday (March 21). The conference was organized at the Superintendent of Police office. He said that around 12 noon on March 19, the police received information about a dead body (unidentified body) lying in Gaoghba village of Surkhali Union under Batiaghata Police Station through National Emergency Service 999. In this news, the Batiaghata Police Station and the District Detective Police recovered a semi-decomposed body in a thicket in the northwest corner of the garden of Janaika Krishna Pramanik (50) of Gaughara village under Batiaghata Police Station. The dead body was identified as Md. Aminur Sheikh (44), son of Md. Malek Sheikh of Gaughara village in Batiaghata. In this regard, case no-10 of Batiaghata police station, dated 20/03/2024 AD is registered.

He said, since this murder is bruculese, the investigation process started with my overall guidance and supervision with utmost importance and professionalism of the district police. Batiaghata The alert team of police station and district intelligence wing was able to unravel the main mystery of this incident at the earliest. Investigation revealed that the deceased was Md. Aminur Sheikh (44), who earned his livelihood by farming and fishing and had a private garden with his fishing yard. The said deceased was missing since the night of March 15 last. In this regard, a missing in Batiaghata police station Diary No-840, Dated-17/03/2024 AD was made. On March 17, a vigilant team of the District Detective Police recovered a blood-stained shirt inside the perimeter fence on the banks of Bhadra river. The police started the operation on the basis of this blood-stained shirt.

As a result, after the case was registered, Faridullah Sheikh (20), son of the deceased Liaquat Sheikh, was arrested from his own house on the morning of March 20 in the morning and night of Gaogra village of Batiaghata upazila. On intensive questioning, he identified the blood stained shirt as his and gave sensational information about the incident that on the evening of March 15 at around 7:30 PM, Farid, Shaheen, Nayan and Farooq sat in the garden behind Shaheen's house and ate gazza. After that, Farid, Shaheen and Nayan stole Aminur's enclosure and went to Sajan. Farid climbed the tree to sleep. Then Shaheen and Nayan stayed under the tree.

Both of them began to pick up and fill white plastic bags. Suddenly Aminur turns on the torch light and sees them. Then Aminur chased them and they ran away from there. Estimated 1(one) to one and a half hours later, they 3 people started talking about when Aminur will come again. He will be taught a lesson today. After a while, when Aminur entered the house through the perimeter, Nayan first tied his nose and mouth with a muffler from behind. Farid and Shaheen took him hand in hand to the river Bhadra. Taking the iron pipe Shaheen had with him, Farid first gave it a home in the jaws of the mouth. Blood splattered on Farid's shirt due to hitting that house. Then Shaheen said to Farid, don't do your dog house work, give the Oida (iron pipe) to me. After that, Shaheen hit different parts of the body including head with an iron rod and Nayan punched different parts of Aminur's body.

At one point Marre cuts Aminur's throat and they realize that Aminur is dead. Then Farid threw his blood-stained shirt on the fence next to the fence in fear. Then comes Farooq. Then Shaheen tells Farooq that uncle is dead. Then Nayan, Farooq and Shaheen along with Farid picked up the dead body of Janaika Krishna Pramanik (50) and took it inside the bushes of Bagan Vita. Shaheen brought a black national chemical which was wrapped in Farooq's lungi and smeared all over the dead Aminur's body. Farooq leaves his lungi at the feet of the dead Aminur and goes to his house. Later, when the arrested Farid was presented to the learned court, he voluntarily gave a confessional statement to the court. Based on this, Shaheen, Nayan and Farooq involved in the incident were arrested by information technology and raids from different areas of Batiaghata police station. Iron (SS) pipe used in the incident was seized from Shaheen's custody. Muffler was seized from Nayan's custody. Other evidences such as the sack in which Sajan was filled, Farid's shirt which had Aminur's blood on it were seized. A lungi identified as Farooq's was seized from the dead body. A total of 5 accused have been arrested in connection with the incident within 24 hours of the filing of the case.
