Melandah Upazila Parishad Chairman candidate Haji Didar Pasha

In this upazila, which consists of eleven unions and two municipalities, there are several candidates for the position of chairman. Haji Didar Pasha, vice-president of district Awami League and former mayor of Melandah municipality, is in discussion among the general voters in the upcoming upazila parishad elections.

He was born in 1961 in a noble Muslim family in Melandah Paur area of ​​Melandah Upazila. His father late Nooral Islam was former Member of Parliament for (Melandah-Madaranj) Constituency. Not only that, elder brother Ri's freedom fighter Ed. Ismat Pasha was the former President of Melandah Upazila Awami League. Currently he is serving as the General Secretary of the District Bar Council. Another elder brother Ri's freedom fighter Kismat Pasha is the former president of Melandah Upazila Sramik League, 4 times chairman of Nangla Union and vice president of Upazila Awami League.

His uncle late Ah Hai Bachchu Miah served as the Chairman of Melandah Upazila Parishad for 34 years. Growing up in a political family, Haji Didar Pasha's colorful political identity started politics in 1977 as a member of Jamalpur sub-district branch of Chhatra League. 1978-79 Bangladesh Chhatra Sangsad Govt Ashek Mahmud College Sports Secretary, 1979-80 Govt Ashek Mahmud College Chhatra Sangsad AGS, 1985-86 Acting President of Chittagong University Chhatra League, 1995-97 District Awami League Joint Convener, 1998-2001 District Awami League Joint - General Secretary, served as Mayor of Melandah Municipality from 2005-2016.

He is currently serving as the vice-president of the district Awami League. He started campaigning as upazila chairman candidate in upcoming Melandah Upazila Parishad elections. Haji Didar Pasha said, my father worked for the people as a member of Parliament. Mama has served the people of Melandah as upazila chairman.

I myself was engaged in serving the residents of Melandah as a public representative. I have become a chairman candidate in the upcoming upazila council elections to serve the people of Melandah upazila.
