Rajivpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Md Ashikur Rahman has announced that the operation of the police station will be carried out one day a week (Saturday) in Kodalkathi Union Parishad premises in the cut-off river. The police have been providing legal services for the past two weeks. Class people.

It is known that Rajivpur upazila is a fragmented upazila of Kurigram district. Kodalkathi is the name of a union affected by brahmaputra river coral grass in the upazila. About 46 thousand people live in the union established in 1973. The number of voters is 15300. There are 29 villages. The location of these villages is on the rising pastures of Brahmaputra river. There is no communication system. As a result, the suffering of the people of this region has no limit. To get police legal services, they have to come to Rajivpur police station by boat in flood and on foot for about 15 km in dry season. Many people don't come to the police station after such a difficult road. As a result, small and big unwanted incidents almost turn into big ones. There are often casualties in the clashes. In order to overcome these and maintain peace and order, Rajivpur Thana Police has launched a temporary police service center. Locals have applauded the unique initiative of the police to settle disputes at home. Locals have demanded that the temporary police service center be made permanent for easy access to legal services.

Local resident Md. Noor Islam said, "My land has been destroyed by river erosion for about 10 years. After that, char has been rising for the last 4 years. My opponent cousin has occupied my 6th century land there. Poor people can't afford to litigate. I have been living with my family on other people's land. I filed a complaint free of charge after hearing about the police station working here. Later, the OC of the police station took note of the matter and resolved it within two weeks. Now I am very happy to get the land.

Local teacher Md. Aminur Rahman said, "We are very happy to have a temporary police service center like Kodalkati, thinking about the common people. Thank you to all concerned including the OC of the police station. People will benefit if such a legal service center is opened not only in Kodal Kati but in the rest of the country.

Chairman of Kodalkati Union Parishad Md. Humayun Kabir Chakku said, "We are very happy that the temporary police service center has been started for the convenience of the people of my union. Let such activities of the police continue.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajivpur Police Station, Md Ashikur Rahman said that the people of this area, which is the most neglected and poverty-stricken of the district, are very simple. People of this union do not want to come to the police station in case of any accident. We provide legal services here one day in a week. Because police are people. Police are always ready to provide their legal services. We are committed to work tirelessly in public interest.
