Hospital office assistant killed in car accident in Raninagar

Raninagar (Naogaon) Correspondent: A person named Jahangir Alam (42) was killed after being hit by an auto TomTom car in Raninagar, Naogaon.

The incident took place in front of the gate of Raninagar Hospital around 10:30 am on Tuesday.

Deceased Jahangir Alam was an office assistant cum computer operator at Raninagar Upazila Hospital. He is the son of Akkas Ali of Bowaliya village of Naogaon Sadar

Upazila. Raninagar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. KHM Iftekharul Alam Khan said, Jahangir Alam was crossing the road in front of the hospital gate around 10:30 am. A high-speed battery-powered Auto-TomTom ran over him. After that the locals saw him and brought him inside the hospital. If the physical condition deteriorated there, he was transferred to Naogaon Sadar Hospital. After that he died under treatment in Naogaon Hospital. However, the auto driver has not yet been identified, said Dr. Iftekharul Alam Khan.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raninagar Police Station Abu Obaid said, I have heard the incident of death due to tomtom. However, I have not received any written complaint yet. Necessary action will be taken if complaints are received.
