Pabna Correspondent: Skeletons of 15 bodies were stolen from the cemetery in Aminpur of Bara Upazila of Pabna in the dark of a night.

The incident took place on Tuesday (March 18) at the New Bazar Graveyard of Aminpur.

On Wednesday (March 19) morning, the locals noticed the matter. Since then, relatives continued to flock to the cemetery. At one point, they took out a protest march demanding quick arrest of the culprits.

Masud Rana, a relative of one of the stolen bodies, said, "It's surprising to think about it." The theft of skeletons from this highway-side cemetery is not a common occurrence. We demand that the police will quickly uncover this incident and take legal action against the culprits.

Another relative, Zahid Hasan, said, "We have been seeing for so long that people are not safe while living in our country. Now I see that even if people die, there is no safety for their bodies.

Confirming the matter, Aminpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harun-ur-Rashid said that miscreants stole the skeleton after digging a grave at night. This morning when the relatives went to the cemetery to pray, the locals found the graves dug up. We are investigating the matter seriously. Details can be told subject to investigation.
