Want to hear about possibilities not problems: Abul Kalam Azad MP

Jamalpur Representative: Jamalpur Sadar Constituency Member of Parliament Abul Kalam Azad said we all know about the problem, we want to hear what is possible. He said these things in the Jamalpur 250-bed general hospital management committee meeting.

Deputy Commissioner Md participated in the bi-monthly meeting at the administrative building of Jamalpur General Hospital on Monday afternoon. Shafiur Rahman, Additional Police Superintendent Masood Anwar, former Director of Health Department Dr. Moshayedul Islam, Mayor of Jamalpur Municipality. Chanwar Hossain, Acting Civil Surgeon Dr. Aktaruzzaman, City Awami League President Masum Reza Rahim, District NGO Coordination Council General Secretary Journalist Jahangir Salim, Jamalpur Municipality Councilor Saida Akhtar and others. Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman, Assistant Director of General Hospital conducted the program.

In the president's speech, Abul Kalam Azad MP said that outdoor buildings declared abandoned should be vacated as soon as possible. He ordered the contractor to hand over the newly constructed two-story building to the hospital authorities by tomorrow morning. Besides, he ordered to vacate any residential building and open it outdoors.

Chanwar Hossain, mayor of Jamalpur municipality raised questions about the quality of service of doctors, nurses and certificate trade. In view of this, President of the Hospital Management Committee, Abul Kalam Azad MP said, "I do not want to listen to the complaints; I make suggestions on how to improve the quality of service."

Even though we have limitations, Bangabandhu urged everyone to be more diligent and careful with the example of "We have to fight the enemy with whatever we have". MP Azad directed the assistant director to take prompt action against the investigation.

The discussion focused on various issues including starting ICU, taking initiatives to solve the manpower crisis, keeping the hospital grounds clean. At the end of the meeting, four doctors and one nurse were given mementos in recognition of their special contribution and role in the workplace.
