Former secretary, son of Kaliakore, passed away

Kaliakor representative: Former Secretary Shafiuddin, a well-known and accomplished son of Kaliakor upazila, passed away on Monday morning at around 4.00 am while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.

He is survived by numerous benefactors including 2 sons, 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren.

On Monday, after a funeral at his residence in Dhaka, the deceased will be buried in his family graveyard after a second funeral at Dhol Samudra School in Kaliakair Upazila, his home village.

The local dignitaries of the area and various social organizations of the upazila have expressed deep grief over his death.

He was the former secretary of the Ministry of Land and Religious Affairs of the Government of Bangladesh. He has made quite a reputation in his illustrious career. He also participated in various social development activities in the area at different times.
