2 dacoits killed in gang beating in Sonargaon, Narayanganj

Narayanganj Correspondent: Two members of the dacoit gang were killed in the beating of the villagers while preparing for the robbery of Sonargaon in Narayanganj.

Meanwhile, 2 more people were rescued and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition. The incident took place at Bagri village of the upazila at 1.30 am on Sunday.

According to the locals, a gang of 10/12 people prepared to commit a robbery on the bank of Bagri village. When some local people saw them and announced that they were robbers in the mosque, the villagers gathered and surrounded them from all sides. When the robbers tried to escape, they chased them and beat them up, killing them on the spot. Others run away and jump into the bill. Later, after lifting the bill, he beat two more people and seriously injured them. On receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the bodies of the two victims and sent the injured to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Sonargaon Police Station Inspector (Operation) Mohsin Mia said that the dead bodies of the two deceased have been recovered and sent to Narayanganj Sadar General Hospital morgue. The injured robbers were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Besides deployment of additional police in the village, efforts are on to identify the victim.
