The preparation meeting for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Asia's largest Eidgah Maidan has been completed

Dinajpur Correspondent: The preparatory meeting for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr prayers was held in the auditorium of the District Commissioner on Sunday night as usual at the biggest Eidgah field in Dinajpur, Gore Shaheed Bara Maidan. Prayers will be offered in the main congregation only at 9 am.

As always, to prepare the entire business for the safe and orderly performance of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, the Eidgah Field Management Committee, law enforcement, security, intelligence surveillance, installation of CCTV cameras, traffic control, first aid services, ablution water, and other procedures for the smooth performance of the prayers. Jatiya Sangsad Whip Iqbalur Rahim MP called upon the concerned to take action. For this reason, 19 sub-committees have been formed. Besides, the concerned people have been invited to bring the small congregations centered on different neighborhoods of the district city to Gor-e-Shaheed Eidgah Maidan. The organizers hope that more than 5 lakh Muslims will be able to offer Eid prayers at the same time.

It was informed in the meeting that sufficient volunteers including Police, RAB, BGB, Ansar will be engaged for the overall security of the pilgrims along with the main roads and grounds along with the surrounding roads and streets for Eid prayers.

Besides, special trains will be run from Parvatipur and Setabganj stations to Dinajpur railway station to facilitate the transportation of the district headquarters and various upazilas to the Muslims of the surrounding districts for Eid prayers. On the other hand, the use of drains during Eid prayers is prohibited without the permission of the law enforcement agencies.
