Bangabandhu's birth anniversary and National Children's Day are celebrated in Thakurgaon

Thakurgaon Representative: Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth anniversary and National Children's Day were celebrated in Thakurgaon through various events. Various political and social organizations including the district administration, police administration, A-League organized various day-long programs on Sunday. The program started with the hoisting of the national flag at sunrise to celebrate the day organized by the district administration. People from different walks of life including public and private offices, political parties offered floral tributes at the Bangabandhu mural located in Zilla Parishad Dak Bungalow and at Mujib Varsha square.

Later Ramesh Chandra Sen, a member of the Advisory Board of the League and Member of Parliament of Thakurgaon-1 Constituency, inaugurated the program by flying balloons and pigeons in the premises of the District Council Auditorium BD Hall. He also distributed prizes among the participants as the chief guest in the drawing competition at the Police Lines Drill Shed.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Mahbubur Rahman spoke in the discussion meeting at Zilla Parishad Auditorium BD Hall, chief guest was Member of A-League Advisory Council and Member of Parliament for Thakurgaon-1 Constituency Ramesh Chandra Sen, Special Guest Member of Parliament for Reserved Asen Draupadi Devi Agarwala, Superintendent of Police Uttam Prasad Pathak, Municipal Mayor Anjuman Ara Begum Bonya, District A-League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Nazrul Islam Swapan, Freedom Fighter Affairs Secretary Bir Muktijoddha Mozammel Haque, Thakurgaon Press Club President Mansoor Ali and others. Before the meeting, a huge cake was cut and the birthday was celebrated.

Later, the guests distributed the prizes among the winners of children's writing, recitation and drawing competitions. On the other hand, at Police Line Drill Shed, President of Police Women Welfare Association (PUNAK) Thakurgaon Priyanka Adhikari presided over the function organized on the occasion of birth anniversary and National Children's Day as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions. Member of A-League Advisory Council and Member of Parliament for Thakurgaon-1 Constituency Ramesh Chandra Sen. At this time, various police officers and participants were present.
