World Consumer Rights Protection Day organized by Tangail district administration

Tangail representative: The World Consumer Rights Day was celebrated in Tangail with the theme 'Smart Bangladesh Gari, use artificial intelligence for the benefit of the consumer'. On this occasion, a discussion meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Friday, March 15 at 11 am.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Ziaul Islam Chowdhury spoke in the discussion meeting, Assistant Director of National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate Tangail Sikdar Shahinur Alam, President of Business Alliance Abul Kalam Mostafa Labu, President of Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) District Branch Abu Zubair Ujjal. And human rights organization "Human Rights Review Society" president of Tangail district branch, journalist Md. Rashed Khan Menon (Russell), officials and business leaders of various departments.

Leaders of various business organizations were also present at this time. Meanwhile, the speakers demanded to take various steps to control the market. During the month of Ramadan, market supervision is called for constantly. So that unscrupulous traders in the market cannot sell daily necessities at high prices.

At the time, the speakers also said that despite the violation of consumer rights by dishonest traders, they are not getting any remedy by complaining to the Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection Tangail office. In this regard, the consumers requested the district administration and higher authorities to look into it.
