Cylinder leakage in Gazipur, 1 person died due to burns

Kaliakoi Correspondent: Out of 35 people who got burnt due to gas cylinder leakage in Gazipur, one died while undergoing treatment. Name of the deceased. Soleman Molla (45). He was a worker in a local garment factory. He died on Friday (March 15) around 11:30 am while undergoing treatment at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

The doctors said that Sulaiman Molla, who was burnt, was in the ICU. 95 percent of his body was burnt. He died suddenly during treatment. Earlier, a gas cylinder leakage occurred in a residential colony in Telirchala area of ​​Kaliakair upazila of the district on Wednesday evening. 35 people including men, women and children were burnt. 32 of them were admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital.

Later, a three-member investigation committee was formed in this incident. Gazipur District Commissioner Abu Fateh Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, the head of the committee, said that one person died due to burns while undergoing treatment.

Arrangements are being made to send the body to his village home Sirajganj through the administration. The cost of his burial shroud will be borne by the administration.
