World Consumer Rights Day celebrated at Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat Representative: Consumer Rights Day was celebrated in Lalmonirhat on Friday under the theme Smart Bangladesh Gari, use artificial intelligence for the benefit of the consumer. On the occasion of the day, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ullah was the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman presided over the meeting, Assistant Director of Consumer Directorate AKM Masum Ud Daula conducted the meeting. Safe Food Officer Fazlul Haque participated in this meeting.

Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB), its president Advocate AKM Shamchul Haque, general secretary Touhidul Islam Liton along with businessmen, journalists, doctors, teachers from various professions participated. In the meeting, various issues related to consumer rights, drug price, quality of iftar food, price of rice, market price of vegetables were openly discussed. And regular market monitoring decisions are taken. Further emphasis is placed on ensuring the use of artificial intelligence in the interest of the consumer.
