News Desk: 29 members of the Myanmar Border Guard Force (BGP) have once again taken refuge in Bangladesh through the Jamchari border area of ​​Naikxyongchari Upazila of Bandarban. They have been kept in BGB custody.

On Monday (March 11) morning, they entered Bangladesh through the Jamchari border in Naikxyongchari upazila of Bandarban, and were later disarmed by members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). According to local sources, currently 29 BGP members are kept in tea garden area of ​​Nurul Alam near pillar number 45 of the border. Unable to survive the conflict with the separatist rebel armed groups inside Myanmar, 29 BGP members took refuge in the no man's land on the border of Bangladesh in the morning, later they were disarmed and sheltered on the border of Bangladesh. Bandarban's Naikxyongchari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Zakaria confirmed the truth of the incident and said action will be taken later. Incidentally, earlier, 330 people including border guards, army and government employees of Myanmar entered Bangladesh several times on February 4 and 5 to save their lives through the borders of Tumbru, Ghumdhum and Cox's Bazar's Ukhia and Teknaf in Naikshyongchari of Bandarban.

Later on February 15, under the overall supervision of BGB, they were all sent back to Myanmar by ship through Ukhiya Inani Navy jetty in Cox's Bazar.
