Two new ships and helicopters to be added to Coast Guard: PM

News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon the Coast Guard to take care of every thing bought with the country's money. She also said that the Coast Guard will be developed as a three-dimensional force. The prime minister said these things at the 29th anniversary ceremony of Coast Guard on Sunday morning.

The Prime Minister said that the Father of the Nation was the first to make the maritime boundary law. No initiative was taken by any government that came to power after the massacre of 75. Bangladesh owns its own border in the sea. Awami League government has made this possible by maintaining friendly relations with Myanmar and India.

She said, two new ships and helicopters are being added to the Coast Guard. Modern maritime surveillance system will be added. Bangladesh Coast Guard is going to be a three-dimensional force soon.

Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated five newly constructed stations and an outpost in addition to the V-SATNET communication system at the Coast Guard Headquarters in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar around 10:30 am.

Previously, Sheikh Hasina reached the headquarters of the Coast Guard at around 10 am to participate in the 29th anniversary celebration and medal distribution ceremony. Later, the Chief Minister presented medals to Coast Guard officers, sailors and civilians for gallantry and bravery.
