News desk: Air pollution is increasing in the capital Dhaka. Among the world's 100 cities, Dhaka is at the top in terms of air pollution.

This information is known from the Air Quality Index (IQ Air) index of the air quality monitoring organization based in Switzerland around 8 am.

Dhaka's air quality score is 212 at the top of the list today. In other words, Dhaka's air today is 'very unhealthy' for city dwellers. Besides, neighboring India's Delhi is at number two in the list. The city's air quality score is 195. This air quality is considered 'unhealthy' for citizens.

Besides, Pakistan's Lahore is in the top three in the list of the most polluted cities, with a score of 188. That is, the air of this city in the South Asian country is also 'unhealthy' for the citizens today.

Air quality is considered good if the score is between zero and 50. 51 to 100 is moderate or tolerable air quality. And for sensitive groups, a score of 101 to 150 is considered unhealthy. On the other hand, an air quality score of 151 to 200 is considered unhealthy. Also, a score of 201 to 300 is considered very unhealthy. Besides, if it is more than 301, it is considered disastrous or dangerous.
