International Women's Day Celebrated in Faridpur

Faridpur Representative: International Women's Day is being celebrated in Faridpur with the theme "Digital technology and innovation, will eliminate gender discrimination".

A rally and discussion meeting was held on Friday on the initiative of Faridpur District Administration and District Women Affairs Directorate.

Faridpur district administrator Kamrul Ahsan Talukder presided over a massive rally to celebrate International Women's Day-2024 around the city's main road. After that a discussion meeting was held in Kavi Jasimuddin hall room.

In the discussion meeting, the determination to build a beautiful society was expressed through the overall empowerment of women, the establishment of women's rights and the elimination of discrimination.

Faridpur 3 Constituency Member of Parliament AK Azad was present as the chief guest on this occasion. The guest of honor was Jharna Hasan, member of parliament from reserved women's seat.

Besides, District Additional Superintendent of Police Shailen Chakma, Additional District Commissioner Yasin Kabir, District Women's Awami League General Secretary Nusrat Tania and other officials of District Women Affairs Directorate were present.
