3 people were killed when the broken down passenger bus overturned on the highway

News Desk: Three people were killed when an Inan Paribahan bus overturned on the highway in Faridpur on the Dhaka-Barisal highway. At least 25 people were injured in this incident. This road accident took place in Bhangar Chumurdi area around 2 o'clock on Thursday (March 07). Two people died on the spot. Another person died on the way to the hospital. The injured were rescued and admitted to Banga Upazila Health Complex and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station Khairul Anam confirmed this information to Banglanews on Friday (March 08) morning. Shafiqul Islam alias Suruj (45) was killed in a road accident. He is a resident of Punduria area of ​​Sathiya in Pabna. However, the police could not identify the names of the other two victims. Besides, it was not possible to know the names of the injured.

OC Khairul Anam said that a bus on Inan Paribahan bound for Dhaka from Barisal overturned on the highway in Bhangar Chumurdi area. Two people died on the spot. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and recovered the vehicle and brought it to the police station. However, the driver fled after the incident. Due to high speed, the bus lost control and overturned on the highway. OC said that legal measures are under process in this regard. Bhanga Upazila Health Complex Medical Officer Tarun Pal told Banglanews that a total of 28 people were rescued and brought to the hospital due to road accidents. Two were declared dead from there. Another died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur.
