News Desk: The bodies of the people who died in the fire in the high-rise building on Bailey Road in the capital are being handed over to their relatives. As of 9:30 am on Friday (March 1), 29 bodies have been handed over. Of the 45 dead, 38 have been identified. The process of handing over the dead body to the relatives started in the morning. On behalf of the Dhaka District Administration, Assistant Commissioner Mustafa Abdullah Al-Noor said that it has been possible to identify 38 of the 45 dead so far. He said that the bodies of 29 people have been handed over to their relatives. Relatives identified the body by looking at the face and clothes.

The body is being handed over only after the identity is confirmed. This number will increase. He also said that among the unidentified bodies, the faces of five people can be understood. A body was burnt to ashes. It cannot be transferred without DNA testing. A fire broke out in a multi-storey building on Bailey Road around 10pm on Thursday. It caused casualties.
