The Prime Minister inaugurated Police Week-2024

News Desk: Police Week-2024 has started with the annual police parade. This year's police week has started with the theme Smart Police, Smart Country, Bangladesh of Peaceful Progress. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Police Week as the chief guest at Rajarbagh Police Lines ground around 10:30 am on Tuesday (February 27).

He inspected and saluted the parade of various police contingents and flag bearers. Now he is giving instructions to the policemen. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) DC Md. led the annual parade of Police Week-2024 as commander.

Sohail Rana. Policemen of different contingents of Bangladesh Police participated in the parade under his leadership. Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) to 35 Policemen, President's Police Medal (PPM) to 60 Policemen and President's Police Medal (PPM) to 35 policemen in recognition of immense bravery and heroic work from December 1, 2022 to January 10 this year and for solving important cases, crime control, efficiency, devotion to duty, integrity.

And 95 policemen were awarded the Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM)-Service and 210 were awarded the President's Police Medal (PPM)-Service for their meritorious contribution through disciplined conduct. The Prime Minister presented the medals to the awardees.

Action plan for the next year will be taken after reviewing the activities of the previous year in the various working sessions of Police Week. The police week which started today will end on March 3.
