News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the price of eggs has been increased by hiding them. Those agitating for the overthrow of the government are behind them. Before this there was a shortage of onions. Later it was seen that sacks of rotten onions were being thrown into the water.

He said this at a press conference at Ganobhaban at 10 am on Friday. The press conference was called to share the Prime Minister's experience of participating in the security conference held in Munich, Germany.

Sheikh Hasina said, 15 years ago there was a shortage of rice. Beggars used to ask for rice husks, now they don't.

They should be arrested. If the government does this, people will say that the government is doing this, they are better than this, if the people remedy it, then no one will be able to say anything.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in a press conference that major powers' rivalry and regional conflicts, economic security, nuclear security, food security, climate security, information security, water security, immigration, supply chain, artificial intelligence, epidemics etc. will be discussed at the Munich Security Conference this year.

In a written statement at the press conference, the Prime Minister said, the Munich Security Conference was mainly attended by heads of state/government, international organization and NGO leaders, media, civil society, government and private sector top representatives. It is regarded as a leading forum for regular high-level discussions in the interests of contemporary and future security. More than 35 heads of state and government participated in this year's forum.

The Prime Minister visited Germany on February 15 to attend the Munich Security Conference 2024. He returned to the country on February 19. During his stay in Munich, the Prime Minister also attended the conference and held bilateral meetings with world leaders.

Among them were German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

The Prime Minister went there on the invitation of the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference. This is his first official visit outside the country after winning the 12th National Assembly elections. Sheikh Hasina attended the opening ceremony of the Munich Security Conference during her stay in Germany.

During this visit, the Prime Minister also participated in a civic reception for expatriate Bangladeshis living in Germany.
