Rain with thundershowers likely in all divisions: Meteorological Department

News Desk: The rains have attacked the winter without saying goodbye. In the meantime, the Meteorological Office has said that there may be rain with thunder throughout the day in all sections. The Meteorological Department said that rain with gusty wind or thunder may occur temporarily in some places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and two or more places of Rangpur and Barisal divisions till Friday (February 23) evening. Meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq said, the western low pressure is extending over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is located over South Bay of Bengal. According to the weather forecast, light to moderate fog may fall in some parts of the country in the morning. Night temperatures may drop slightly and day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

On Saturday (February 24) two places in Chittagong and Sylhet divisions may receive temporary rain/thunder with gusty winds. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Light to moderate fog may fall in some parts of the country in the morning. Night temperatures may drop slightly and day temperatures may rise slightly across the country. According to the Met Office, the day and night temperatures will rise slightly on Saturday. The following day, Sunday (February 25), the daytime temperature may drop slightly. Light to moderate fog may fall in some parts of the country in the early hours of these few days.
