Online Desk:  The United States on Thursday imposed sanctions on four Israelis who set up illegal settlements in the West Bank of Palestine. In this regard, US President Joe Biden said that violence against civilians in the West Bank of Palestine due to illegal settlers has reached an unbearable level.

Violence has escalated in the Palestinian West Bank since Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7.

According to the United Nations, about 370 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank. Most of them were killed by Israeli forces. At least eight were killed by Israeli settlers.

This is a rare action by the US against Israelis. This is the first time such a step has been taken by the United States.

For the first time, the United States has imposed sanctions on four Israelis for allegedly building illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

On Thursday (February 1), President Joe Biden signed an executive order authorizing the ban. News BBC.

According to the report, those banned are David Shai Chasdai (29), Inon Levy (31), Inan Tanzil (21) and Shalom Zicherman (32).

President Joe Biden visited the western US state of Michigan to attend a political program on Friday (February 2). Officials from the country's Ministry of Finance or Treasury Department said he had signed the ban order before leaving.

As a result of the US ban, the four Israelis will not be able to enter the country and buy any property there. As long as the ban remains, they will not be able to be associated with the economy and financial system in the country in any way.

Riots and violence among Israeli settlers in the West Bank have increased significantly since the ceasefire between Israeli forces and the Palestinian independence group Hamas on October 7. And as a result, in most cases, the Israeli police-security forces are involved in violence on behalf of the settlers.

According to UN estimates, approximately 370 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli-Palestinian riots in the West Bank in the four months since October 7. Israeli law enforcement agencies and settlers are responsible for these killings.
