Along with lakhs of Muslims who participated in Ijtema to participate in the country's largest Friday prayer, Muslims from Gazipur and surrounding districts also participated.

The formal proceedings of the first day of the Ijtema of the first phase began with the recitation of the Fajr Aam Bayan on Friday. It can be seen on the ground that the surrounding roads and highways including Dhaka-Mymensingh, Dhaka-Ashulia, Dhaka-Kaliganj are very crowded. People are coming to the Maidan on foot as the traffic on the road has reduced due to the pilgrims' journey to Tongimukhi. Apart from those who have already brought the congregation to the Ijtema Maidan, many people are coming to the Ijtema Maidan just to perform the Friday prayers. The worshipers are hoping that the crowd will reduce a little after the Friday prayers.
