Nipah virus infected in Dinajpur

Dinajpur Correspondent: Doctors suspect that a schoolgirl in Dinajpur is infected with Nipah virus. He was shifted to Mohakhali Hospital in Dhaka in an air ambulance on Wednesday afternoon in critical condition. The affected student, Farabi Ferdous Shreysi, is a 9th grade student of Government Girls School, Dinajpur. She is the daughter of Ferdous of Kalitla of the city.

According to family sources, Nipah virus-carrying bats are better off eating something like palm juice containing Eto. However, last Thursday afternoon, Shreysi had delicious food at an open-air shop on the footpath in Gore. Later, he developed complications due to various symptoms. He was admitted to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital in Dinajpur last Monday afternoon due to repeated vomiting. He was admitted to ICU on Tuesday as his condition worsened. If the condition is critical, he will be air ambulance helicoptered on Wednesday afternoon. Mahakhali was transferred to the Infectious Disease Hospital. 

Nuruzzaman, a doctor in the medicine department of M. Abdur Rahim Medical College, said that they suspected Nipah virus infection along with various symptoms including falling unconscious. They have sent the sample to the laboratory in Dhaka. They are not sure until the report comes.
