We are also suffering from dollar crisis: Ambassador Yao Wen

Online desk:  Yao Wen, Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh, said that we are also suffering from the dollar crisis due to the mismatch of financial and monetary policies of the United States. Global problems have affected us too. That is why I have proposed to Bangladesh to trade in our currency to increase trade and investment, Bangladesh is considering it.

He said these things to reporters after a meeting with Planning Minister Abdus Salam in Sherebangla Nagar of the capital on Tuesday (January 30).

When asked what was discussed with the minister, the ambassador said that at present very few countries have a five-year plan. China is one of them. Bangladesh also has. China already has 14 five-year plans.

That is why there are many opportunities to work jointly with Bangladesh on the five-year plan. We talked about how we can exchange experiences, how we can work together.' said the ambassador.

He said, we have a National Development and Reforms Committee in China, which is exactly like the Planning Commission of this country. Discussions were held on how these two committees can work together. We are working to advance China-Bangladesh relations.

Meanwhile, Planning Minister Abdus Salam said, we have discussed with them to solve the problems we have.

He said, China also has a five-year plan, we also have it. Talked about how to exchange experiences on those issues.
