India's 75th Republic Day celebrations in Rajshahi

News desk:   India's 75th Republic Day was celebrated on January 26 with great enthusiasm organized by the Indian Assistant High Commission in Rajshahi. In the evening, a grand cultural program organized by the Assistant High Commission of India was organized at a luxury hotel in the city. 

The music of Bashi along with the tricolor decoration of the Indian national flag mesmerized all the invited guests. In the program, the Indian culture and quality of life were highlighted along with Indian patriotic songs with the participation of Bangladeshi and Indian students. This is a unique example of friendship between the two countries. Drupadloka dance performances and traditional gambiras add a different dimension to the event. 

Shri Manoj Kumar, Assistant High Commissioner of India posted in Rajshahi delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Honorable Minister of Bangladesh Food Ministry Sadhan Chandra Majumder, MP delivered a speech as the chief guest in the event. Member of Parliament of Bogra-5 Constituency and District Awami League President Mojibur Rahman Majnu, Member of Parliament of Bogra-7 Constituency Dr. Mostafa Alam Nannu, almost all members of Parliament of Rajshahi Division and some members of Parliament of Rangpur Division and Honorable Vice Chancellors of Universities located in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Sirajganj were also present in the event. . Also, various eminent persons including brave freedom fighters, senior administration officials, journalists, cultural personalities, government officials and civil society representatives were present.
