Department of Folklore Knows Roots : Soumitra Shekhar

Nazrul University representative: National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University Department of Folklore organized the Shahida Khatun Trust Fund Scholarship. Nazrul University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahida Khatun Trust Fund scholarship awarding ceremony was delivered as the chief guest at the conference room of the university's administrative building on Wednesday (January 24). Soumitra Shekhar.

Trust fund donor Shahida Khatun said in the event, "Folklore is a place of my passion. A place to enjoy. Two things worked behind the formation of the trust fund here. One of them is the name of Nazrul University. Another is Dr. Soumitra Shekhar, who has become the vice-chancellor of this Nazrul University. Mahdoi. He is very familiar to me. Very dynamic person. He is our benefactor. Trust fund in this department has fulfilled my aspirations. Today I am really proud."

Treasurer Professor said as a special guest in the event. Ataur Rahman. The welcome speech was given by the registrar, agriculturist. Md. Humayun Kabir. Department Head of Folklore thanked Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Ullah. Nusrat Fardina Chaiti and Triptimoy Chakma of Folklore Department of 2021-22 academic year received Shahida Khatun scholarship. Pratithi Sarkar Prama received the merit scholarship for the academic year 2014-15.
