From midnight to morning, moderate to dense fog may occur over the country's river basins and light to moderate fog in some areas. Air traffic, inland waterways and road transport may be temporarily disrupted due to fog. The statement further said that the night temperature may drop by 1 to 2 degrees across the country. However, the daytime temperature may increase slightly. Apart from this, cold currents may prevail in some parts of the north-western part of the country during the day.

According to the Meteorological Department, the area of ​​cold front may increase further on Friday. And with that there may be rain in one or two places of the five divisions. The temperature is unlikely to increase further till next Tuesday. The Meteorological Office had earlier announced that there will be rain in various parts of the south. Rain started in different parts of the south from Thursday morning. Of these, Jessore receives the most rainfall, 22 mm. And in Chuadanga 20 and Satkhira 12 mm of rain. Due to the rains, the sufferings of people in these areas increase. Last Wednesday evening, the closure of secondary schools was announced in Chuadanga. Although there was no announcement of closure of primary schools, the impact of closure of secondary schools was there. Apart from this, holidays have been declared in four districts due to winter.
