Tourist bus collides with truck in Brazil, 25 killed

International Desk: 25 people were killed in the collision of a tourist bus with a truck in Brazil. Six others were injured. The accident happened on Monday near the municipality of Gaviao, about 250 kilometers from Salvador, the capital of Bahia state, AFP reported. Citing firefighters, the report said a tourist boat was traveling along the coast with a truck near the municipality of Gaviao in Brazil's northeastern province of Bahia. The bus collided. 25 people were killed and six were injured.

The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Most of the dead were passengers on the bus. AFP said the cause of the accident was not yet known. The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to the police for identification. Bahia Civil Police is working to investigate the cause of the accident.
