The Tigers regained the seventh position after defeating India

Sports Desk:  Bangladesh defeated India by 6 runs in their last match in Super Four of Asia Cup. Captain Shakib has a big role behind this victory of Tigers.

For a long time, the Bangladesh team was at the 7th place in the ICC ODI rankings. However, in the current Asia Cup, the Tigers lost rating points after losing twice to Sri Lanka and once to Pakistan.

On the other hand, winning the match increases the rating points of the Lankans. As a result, Dasun Shanaka's team climbed to the seventh place in the ranking, leaving behind Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh regained the seventh position after defeating India.

A day earlier, Bangladesh had dropped to the 8th place in the ranking, while Sri Lanka was at the 7th place. Before the India match, Bangladesh's rating point was 92, 1 less than the Lankans'. After defeating India, the Tigers have risen to the seventh position behind Sri Lanka with an increase of two rating points with 94 points.

Australia is at the top with 115 rating points in the ICC ODI rankings. Pakistan is second in the list. India occupies the third place in the list with 114 points. England and South Africa are at number four and five.
