Teacher arrested in Bogra for trying to rape a madrasa student

Bogra Correspondent: A teacher named Abul Hasan Babu (26) has been arrested on the charge of trying to rape a child student of Qaumi Madrasa in Bogra Sadar. He was arrested from Telihara Dakshinpara Hafizia Madrasa and Lillah Boding of Shekerkola Union of Upazila around 1 pm on Saturday.
Arrested Abu Hasan Babu is the assistant Arabic teacher of that madrasa and son of Abdur Rahman of Bajidnagar Charpara village of Saghata Upazila of Gaibandha.

The matters were confirmed by SI Imtiaz Ahmed of Bogra Sadar police station. He said that the 11-year-old child has been studying in Telihara Dakshinpara Hafiziya Madrasa and Lillah Boding in Hifz branch for the past one year. Teacher Abul Hasan Babu tried to bully the student last Thursday for the benefit of being a resident student of the madrasa. But at that time other students woke up and Abul Hasan ran away from there. Later, when the student went home and informed the family about the incident, a written complaint was filed at Bogra Sadar police station on Saturday morning. The student's father accused madrasa teacher Abul Hasan of attempted rape.
Muhtamim Bazlur Rahman of Telihara Dakshinpara Hafizia Madrasa and Lillah Boding said that the police arrested the teacher Abul Hasan on the charge of trying to rape the student. He demanded to take legal action through fair investigation.

SI Imtiaz Ahmed also said that a case is being filed on behalf of the student's family. Abul Hasan will be sent to jail through the court.
