Two days after announcing the start of a formal impeachment inquiry against Biden to remove him from power, son Hunter Biden was charged in the firearms case.

Prosecutors on Thursday filed charges against Hunter Biden in a Delaware court on several counts, including false information about illegal weapons and drug addiction. Hunter is accused of making false statements about drug use when purchasing a firearm in October 2018.

According to the complaint, he knowingly and knowingly made a false and fictitious statement that he was not an illegal user or addict of any stimulant, narcotic or other substance by certifying in the mandatory form, which is illegal. Tax evasion allegations against the president's son are also under investigation.

In 2017-18, Hunter allegedly did not pay taxes on $1.3 million in income. Lawyers said that if he is guilty of this charge, he can be sentenced to one year in prison. Earlier, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Kevin McCarthy, announced the start of the official impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden last Tuesday.
