India-Pakistan match started after rain on reserve day

News desk:  India-Pakistan face off in the important match of Super Four of the 16th edition of Asia Cup. Today is playing on reserve day due to rain. The game was scheduled to start at 3.30 on Monday. But due to rain, the game did not take place on time. The game starts at 4.40 local time. 

India scored 147 runs in 24.1 overs with the loss of 2 wickets of the openers before the rain. Lokesh Rahul and Virat Kohli were unbeaten on 17 off 28 balls and 8 off 16 balls. Pakistan sent India to bat first after winning the toss at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Sunday. Batting first, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scored 121 runs in 16.4 overs.

After such a great start, India lost the wickets of 2 openers with a gap of only 2 runs. Shadab Khan broke the opening partnership of 121 runs by dismissing Rohit Sharma. Rohit scored 56 runs off 49 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Then another opener Shubman Gill also returned with a gap of only 2 runs. He was dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afridi. Shubman returned by handing over the catch to Shadab Khan. Shubman Gill scored 58 runs off 52 balls with 10 boundaries before returning to the dugout. After the departure of the two openers, Lokesh Rahul and Virat Kohli led the team.
