A discussion meeting was held on the initiative of the Dhaka District Administration on National Mourning Day

News desk: Dhaka district administration has organized a discussion meeting and doa mahfil on the occasion of the 48th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day 2023 of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of independent Bengal. This discussion meeting and doa mahfil was held at Beam Foundation's Iskaton auditorium at 19 August (Saturday) at 5 pm.

Cabinet Secretary Md. was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting. Mahbub Hossain. Beam Foundation, Dhaka Director General (Additional Secretary), Md. was present as a special guest. Mahbub ul-Alam, Dhaka Divisional Commissioner. Sabirul Islam, Police Superintendent of Dhaka. Asaduzzaman, PPM (Bar). Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Anisur Rahman presided over the discussion meeting.

In the speech of the chief guest in the discussion meeting, the Cabinet Secretary said, I call for organizing exchange meetings in educational institutions to present the memories of freedom fighters and their sacrifices to the country to the future generations. He also advised the new generation of students to work hard to build a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh in 2041.

In the President's speech, the Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka said, Hon'ble Prime Minister showed us a dream in 2009 that Bangladesh will be a hunger-free, poverty-free, middle-income digital Bangladesh by 2021. That dream of Hon'ble Prime Minister has been achieved today. He showed us the new dream of 2041's advanced dream of Sonar Bengal. However, the evil forces against the spirit of the liberation war are still engaged in continuous efforts to disrupt the progress of our development. The nation must beware of this evil plot. Grief should be converted into strength and move forward on the path of progress shown by the honorable Prime Minister.

At the end of the discussion, a prayer was offered for the souls of those who were martyred on August 15, 1975. Officials and employees of all levels of the district administration, heads of other departments of the district, brave freedom fighters of Dhaka district, students and teachers of educational institutions were present in the meeting.
