International Desk: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan got bail in murder case. The Islamabad High Court gave its verdict on Thursday. As a result of this court ruling, Imran Khan cannot be re-arrested within 14 days.
His lawyer Gohar Khan gave this information. Earlier, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan was arrested on May 9. Then supporters of his party PTI started violent protests. The protest continued for three days. Then Imran Khan was released.
He is now out on bail in various criminal cases. His lawyer Gohar Khan said he had gone to the court in the capital from his home in Lahore to seek bail in the murder case and to increase his bail in more than 12 other cases to avoid fresh arrests.
Another lawyer of Imran Khan, Naeem Haider, said that he got bail in all the other cases in which he appealed. The 70-year-old former cricket captain became the Prime Minister in 2018. He has been at odds with Pakistan's powerful military since he was ousted in a no-confidence vote last year.
