Meteorological Department predicts rain for 3 days, temperature will decrease

News Desk: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department said that the storm and rain that has been going on for two days may continue on Thursday. At the same time, the day temperature may drop further, the organization said. The heat wave that has been going on for the past few days has been removed in different parts of the country as the temperature has decreased due to storms and rains. Meteorologists have also said that the rains with Kalbaisakhi storm may continue for the next three days. From Wednesday (May 17) 6 am to Thursday (May 18) 6 am, it rained all over the country except Naogaon's Badalgachi and Teknaf. Netrakona received the highest rainfall of 89 mm. It is raining in Dhaka too.

It rained well in Dhaka on Thursday morning. It rained on Wednesday too. Meteorologists said that 50 mm of rain has fallen in Dhaka in the last 24 hours. Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque, citing the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Thursday, said that many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions may experience temporary gusty winds or rain with thunder.

Along with that, there may be scattered rain in some parts of the country. Nazmul Haque also said that during this time, the day temperature may drop slightly across the country and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged. The trend of rainfall may continue for the next three days. On Thursday, the lowest temperature in the country was 18.6 degrees Celsius in Ishwardi. In the weather forecast for the inland river ports of the country till 6 pm on Thursday, it is informed that temporary gusty wind with rain or thundershower may blow from the west or north-west direction over the Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar regions.

The river ports in these areas have been asked to display naval warning signal number 2. Moreover, in other parts of the country, gusty or gusty wind may blow temporarily from the west or north-west direction with a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour with rain or thundershowers. The Meteorological Department has asked to display warning signal number 1 in the river ports of these areas.
