Any kind of insults against Tarique Rahman will not be tolerated: Zainul Abdin

News Desk: BNP Chairperson's Advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk has said that any kind of insults against Tarique Rahman will not be tolerated. He made this comment at an Ulama Party event in the capital on Monday (July 14).

Zainul Abdin said, 'Our beloved leader is not in the country as she is a victim of the 1/11 conspiracy while speaking against Hasina. To liberate the people of the country, to bring back democracy in the country, to serve the people of the country; she is trying her best, ignoring all conspiracies. Ugly statements are being heard from the mouths of leaders of parties whose existence cannot be traced about the children of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia. I protest against this. I do not want to use that language here. I just want to say that those who do not recognize the 1971 war; those who do not recognize the independence of Bangladesh; They formed an alliance with them....’

He said, ‘The London meeting and a few days ago when the chief advisor asked to prepare for the elections, a murder took place in front of Mitford. Who is involved in this murder must be found out. You (government) must take the responsibility of finding the perpetrators, who is trying to postpone the elections by killing them before this election. Why haven’t you found them for five days now?’

Farooq said, ‘A man like Mirza Fakhrul. A symbol of honesty, a bright star. Talk about him. What is the matter? Money? Goods? There will be no profit.

He said, ‘Some people say that if the Election Commission is not changed, the elections will not be held. Some say that if the Shapla is not given, even the ears of rice should be discarded. Khabardar, Khabardar, nothing can be said about the ears of rice of Shaheed Zia. Nothing can be said about the ideology of Khabardar Shaheed Zia. Nothing can be said about his son. The child for whom these leaders have sacrificed their lives, ignored blood and lived knee-deep in water for the past 16 years - this party has been sustained under the orders of Tarique Rahman; you cannot criticize the leader of that party. It will not be tolerated.’

He said, ‘Did you get this Hasina? Her name is Khaleda Zia. She does not know how to compromise.’
