Heavy Rain Likely in Three Divisions Over the Next 24 Hours

News Desk: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of three divisions over the next 24 hours. The warning was released on Monday morning (July 14).

According to the alert, under the influence of a low-pressure system, scattered areas in Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions may experience heavy (44–88 mm) to very heavy (88 mm or more) rainfall between 9 a.m. today and the same time tomorrow.

The department also cautioned that due to the intensity of the rain, temporary waterlogging may occur in some low-lying areas of these divisions.
