News Desk: The Awami League government fell on August 5 last year in the face of a student-public uprising. Before that, the government led by Sheikh Hasina carried out genocide across the country in July-August. Sohel Taj, the son of independent Bangladesh's first Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmed and former State Minister for Home Affairs, has demanded justice for all those involved in that genocide.

He made this demand in a status posted on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday (July 9) afternoon.

Tajuddin's son shared the BBC's investigative report 'The Battle for Bangladesh: Fall of Sheikh Hasina' on the genocide by Sheikh Hasina's government and wrote in the caption, "I respectfully remember those brave warriors who, at the cost of their lives, liberated Bangladesh from the hands of dictatorship - all those responsible for this genocide must be brought to justice."
