News Desk: Selina Akhter, deputy director of the Commission of Inquiry Officers, started questioning him at the ACC head office from 10:15 am on Monday.

He was interrogated for about two and a half hours on charges of money laundering in different countries, including a five-star hotel business and crores of rupees in unusual transactions.

After leaving the ACC after the interrogation, Amir Khasru told reporters, "Understand why you were called and for what purpose you were called."

“I’m living a normal life,” he said. I have no chance to question my integrity. On February 23, Amir Khasru, his wife Tahera Alam and brothers Golam Sarwar were summoned to appear for questioning on March 1. But today he appeared alone.

The other two did not come. Earlier, Amir Khasru was summoned twice but did not appear.

Besides, on October 4, 2016, the ACC sent a letter to Amir Khasru and his wife Tahera Alam banning them from leaving the country. According to the ACC, the allegations against BNP leader, former minister and former president of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury are that he runs a five-star hotel business.

Besides, the ACC has allegations against him that he has transacted crores of rupees in the bank. The ACC alleges that he has laundered money in different countries through money laundering and acquired known non-income assets including buying shares in the name of himself, his wife and other family members. On August 13, the ACC decided to investigate on the basis of some allegations.
