The body of the head of the madrasa in Jhenaidah was found with his hands and feet tied

News Desk: Ismail Hossain (35), the head of Hafezia Madrasa in Jhenaidah has been killed by hanging. Police recovered his hanging body from a house in Gopalpur, Sadar Upazila, on Monday (March 1) morning.

Both hands and feet of the corpse were tied with cloth. The deceased lived in a rented house.

The deceased was identified as Nurani Hafezia, son of Ibrahim Hossain of Halidhani village under Ismail Sadar Upazila.

Ismail went out with a man named Sushant on Sunday (February 26th) evening, said Ismat Jahan Tuni, the victim's wife. He has not returned home since then.

He said Ismail had recently bought land near a temple in the Gopalpur area. This land caused problems with the local Hindu community. Members of the Hindu community told him not to take the land. Ismail also recently took money to return the land.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim's father Ibrahim Hossain said, "My son left home due to a family quarrel with his wife and was living in the rented house of a man named Shariful in Gopalpur." Local Kazi Touhidur Rahman said, ‘Ismail went to my house on Sunday evening.

After the meeting, he left for the madrasa. Then in the morning, I got the news that his body was recovered. However, Jhenaidah Additional Superintendent of Police Abul Bashar, who visited the spot, admitted his inability to comment on the matter and said details would be revealed later.
