International Desk: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been vaccinated against coronavirus. He took the first dose of the vaccine on Monday morning at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) Hospital in Delhi. He also posted a picture of the vaccine on Twitter.

At 8:25 a.m., Nurse P Niveda vaccinated Modi with Bharat Biotech at the AIIMS in Delhi.

In that tweet, the Prime Minister wrote, "I took the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at AMS. The way doctors and scientists have strengthened the fight against covid in a short time is astounding. I appeal to all those who have been nominated for the Covid vaccine to be vaccinated. Let's free India from Kovid-19.

' The first round of vaccinations started in India on January 17. In the first phase, mainly health workers and first-line fighters were vaccinated against coronavirus. The second round of vaccination is starting in the country from Monday. In this phase, 60-year-old senior citizens will be vaccinated.

In addition, if there is co-morbidity, people over the age of 45 will also get the vaccine. The center released its guidelines on Sunday on how to register for the vaccine. Vaccination at a private hospital can cost a maximum of Rs 250. Vaccinations are free at government immunization centers.
